Issues with Power BI on web not loading reports?

Hi, currently experiencing a very frustrating issue with some reports built in Power BI. We've been trying to get these reports embedded on our website, but the report isn't even loading when we go to grab the embed code. Not loading after embed code is added to website either.

Hi @DRhiner ,

Possible causes for the “ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED” error

  • There are a number of reasons why a DNS domain name resolution might fail. One of the more common reasons is that the DNS server is (temporarily) unavailable. In this situation, if there are no entries for the website you are trying to access in your browser cache or in your operating system’s DNS cache, the DNS will not able to resolve the domain name.

Ways:

  • Solution 1: restart the router
  • Solution 2: delete your browsing data
  • Solution 3: clear your operating system’s DNS cache
  • Solution 4: reset the Winsock catalog
  • Solution 5: change the DNS server
  • Solution 6: disable Chrome predictions
  • Solution 7: temporarily disable security software
  • Solution 8: check for malware

Please refer to it to see if it helps you.

Hi @DRhiner

Can you confirm with your Power BI Admin that the Publish to Web is enabled and you have the access to publish to web?

Did some digging and got more info.

The embed code seems to work just fine the *first time* i view the embedded report. When I try to view the embedded report in my browser any subsequent time, I get these errors showing in chrome:

ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED

as it tries loading the report. This is also the case in Firefox.

It also happens when I extract the embed link (app.powerbi......) and attempt to visit it from within my browser.

This sounds like it could be an issue in your network?

What happens if you try it in another network?
