Issues with Power App Integration with Power BI Report

I have embedded a Power App form in a Power BI report. Both the power bi report and power app form are working as expected. But there is only one problem, Whenever I open a bookmark/report page having the Power App visual, the below screen appears for a second and then the Power App form will render. This would not be a good experience for the end user. I am hoping that there would be a solution to fix this problem.

Thank you

Hi @tharunkumarRTK  ,

While it’s not possible to completely eliminate the loading screen for Power Apps visuals in Power BI, we can try this work around to enhance user experience, you can pre-load the Power App visual on another hidden page of the report before the user navigates to the desired page.

Step 1: Pre load the power app visual in another page.
Step 2: Add a bookmark redirecting to that page
Step 3: Hide that particular page
how to can be found here: Work with Report view in Power BI Desktop - Power BI         | Microsoft Learn

Hoping this work around will help in end user experience.

Thank you for your asnwer. Could you please let me know how to preload a visual in a hidden page?

Hi @tharunkumarRTK ,
What i meant by pre loading is nothing but embedding a power app visual in a different page, after that we can hide the page, as the visual is loaded in a different page already you can by pass the loading screen when you click on the bookmark button redirecting it to the power app visual page

Thanks and regards

Ok, I dont think that will solve the purpose. Once I publish the report to power bi service, every user who clicks on the bookmark button, will again see the splash screen for a second. Isn't it?

Hi @tharunkumarRTK ,
Apologies if the intended work around is not working, I tried to look for some others to bypass the loading screen but it seems the best option right now is to raise a new one in https://ideas.fabric.microsoft.com as mentioned by @lbendlin

Thanks and regards

No problem. I appreciate the time you spent in finding the solution.

Step 1: Pre load the power app visual in another page.

I would challenge that. In my experience pages that are not the default section are not preloaded.

@lbendlin  - Agreed! Thank your inputs.

That splash screen always shows while the PowerApp is spinning up. Agree on the bad UX.
