Issues installing and uninstalling Power BI gateway

Hi All,

I tried to install the Power BI gateway application in Personal mode first. However, after the installation completed and I clicked on Launch nothing happened.  So I tried reinstalling the application and still got the same result. Finally, I tried a thrid time, but this time I gave a custom path to the installer. After the installation was done, I opened the folder where it was supposed to be installed and the folder was empty.

I tried to uninstall the personal gateway from the Control Panel but it's not working. The unistallation competes successfully but gateway still shows up in the Programs and Features list. 

I also tried to install the enterprise gateway but the result was the same.

Now I am stuck with two programs which are neither uninstalling nor are allowing me to do a fresh install / overwrite.

How can I clean the system and install a fresh copy of one of the gateway versions?

Gateways seem to be wonky this morning, I've opened a ticket for my issues.

is this your first installation?

This is the second time I am trying to install the gateway. I had to recently format my system. It was working fine when I had installed it previously and was using it for almost two months.

I'm gonna guess its just bad timing on your part, this was just added to the support page.

Users may receive an error and are unable to refresh data. Engineers are aware of the issue and are actively working on the fix. NextUpdate @ 06/01/2017 12:00 PST.

Resolved by executing setup files with all administrative privileges.
