Issues entering credentials for a Cosmos DB data source on the Power BI Service
Hello,
We are trying to configure a scheduled refresh on a Cosmos DB data source on the Power BI Service, but have not yet been able to successfully enter credentials for the Cosmos DB data source.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The user is using the Azure Cosmos DB v1 connector.
The user has no issues connecting to the Cosmos DB data source using Power BI Desktop and Refresh is successful on Power BI Desktop using an AVD.
When we publish the report to the Power BI Service and attempt to enter the credentials for the Cosmos DB data source we receive the following error message: "Failed to update the data source credentials: The credentials to the DocumentDB are invalid...".
Authentication method is Key and using Account Key.

There are two solutions to the problem of invalid credentials for Cosmos DB data sources for your reference:
- Check whether the expiration date is set for Cosmos-Db-Credentials-key. it was found that the Cosmos-Db-Credentials-key has no expiration date set, which may cause it to expire at any time.
- Try clearing your browser cache or manually updating your identity credentials.
