Issue with Slicer Pane Displacement in Power BI Service

- Sometimes browser cache can cause issues. Clear the cache and cookies.
- Ensure Power BI Service is updated to the latest version.
- Disable the responsive layout to avoid resizing issues.

Slicers shifting after you update bookmarks can be super frustrating, especially in the Power BI Service. Here’s my go-to checklist that’s worked every time:

When you update your bookmark, make sure “Data”, “Display”, and “Current Page” are all checked. If any of these are left out, slicers and visuals don’t always keep their place or state.

Group slicers and their related visuals together (right-click > Group). This keeps them anchored and moving together if you shift anything.

Turn off “Responsive” for slicers. Responsive mode sometimes causes slicers to resize or move unexpectedly when bookmarks are triggered.

Every time you change a slicer’s position or size, re-save (update) the bookmark. Power BI only saves what you tell it, so if you move anything, you have to update the bookmark again.

Double-check the Z-order in the Selection pane make sure nothing is overlapping in a weird way.

If it still happens, try grouping a blank shape or background behind your slicers and visuals. Sometimes that extra layer locks things down.

And as a last resort: clear your browser cache/cookies and make sure Power BI Service is up to date.
With these steps, my slicers always stay put in both edit and reading mode. Hope this helps someone else out!
