Issue with HANA connector in Dataflow Gen1
Hi all
I am starting to use the HANA connector for a dataflow Gen1.
However, the typical connector Value.NativeQuery(SapHana.Database(.... fails.
I could only make it work with the old version of the connector

Hi ValeriaBreve
Is there a particular reason why you want to use the VALUE native query option versus the SAP HANA DATABASE option if the other one works and does not cause you any issues, then I'll recommend going with that

Hi GilbertQ , yes, I would like some consistency between the Desktop PowerQuery editor - where I test all the queries - and the dataflow one. I have lost hours to understand what needed to be done to have my "standard" queries work in the dataflow... and now I need to modify them before I can run them.
Also, native query allows for https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-query/connectors/sap-hana/overview#native-query-support-in-the-sap-hana-database-connector .

Hi ValeriaBreve,
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community.
Thank you GilbertQ for the prompt response.
Value.NativeQuery is the supported way to run native sql against SAP HANA. If you still see failures in Dataflow Gen1 while the same query works in Desktop, then it could be a limitation or bug.
