Issue when creating Power BI alert with Salesforce data source
- 2 months ago
Hi Djilali
Thank you for the update and for sharing your findings.
Based on your testing, it appears the behavior is related to the number of columns included in the table rather than any specific field or dataset. Since creating a dedicated table for alerts has allowed the alerts to be configured successfully, this seems to be an effective workaround for the current limitation.
If this solution meets your requirements, please let us know and we can consider the issue resolved.

Hi, thank you for your help,
We weren't able to identify the issue, we made several tests and it don't seems related to the number of table used to make the report or a specific field that is causing this error, but rather based on the number of column selected.
To show you an exemple we have:
- Case when alert cannot be set up:
(For this case when we added the Gap_Value field it stopped working)
-Case when alert is working:
So the solution we found was to make a second table dedicated to set up alerts.
Thank you,
Best regards;
Djilali.
