Issue connecting Salesforce to my data gateway

I'm having trouble connecting my SalesForce data to my data gateway.

It has been fine this whole time on Power BI Desktop and there has been no connection issue but now I have just set up a gateway so that I can do it on a scheduled refresh and it's telling me that it can't connect because my credentials are wrong. I have attached a screenshot of the error.

I have tried this on both an on-premises gateway and a personal one and have had the same response both times. I know that the credentials are right because I have tried it over and over...

Any ideas?PBI Salesforce Error.jpg

Hi @RobMiles  As a workaround, maybe you can try to test your connection with a 3rd party connector. I've tried windsor.ai, supermetrics and funnel.io. I stayed with windsor because it is much cheaper so just to let you know other options. In case you wonder, to make the connection first search for the Salesforce connector in the data sources list:

After that, just grant access to your Salesforce account using your credentials, then on preview and destination page you will see a preview of your Salesforce fields:

There just select the fields you need. It is also compatible with custom fields and custom objects, so you'll be able to export them through windsor.  Finally, just select PBI as your data destination and finally just copy and paste the url on PBI --> Get Data --> Web --> Paste the url.

Hi @RobMiles

I would suggest you restart gateway and try again. If it still persists, you could try to open a support ticket. If you have a Pro account it is free. Go to https://support.powerbi.com. Scroll down and click "CREATE SUPPORT TICKET".
