Issue adding local files to Gateway

Hi all

I created a PBI Desktop report using local files on my C drive. I have now got those files auto-updating on one of our servers.

We have a Gateway installed on that server and everything appears to be working normally when we look from the server side.

When I go into the service online, and into the semantic model settings, and try and add the files to the gateway connection instead of having them point at my local drive, the connection is created in the "Manage Connections and Gateways" page but the semantic model never updates to view the gateway file and not the local one. I refresh the page and the "add to gateway" link remains next to the filename I just added.

Am I missing a step or something? Been building PBI reports a while but IT always dealt with the gateways at my old job so this is my first time trying to get something working there myself.

I think this issue from power BI end now issue resolved.

4. Check File Paths:

   • Ensure that the file paths in the Power BI Desktop file match the paths on the server. Sometimes, discrepancies in file paths can cause issues.

5. Refresh the Dataset:

   • After making these changes, try refreshing the dataset in Power BI Service to see if it picks up the new data source.

6. Clear Browser Cache:

   • Occasionally, browser cache can cause issues with updates. Try clearing your browser cache or using a different browser to see if the changes reflect.
