Issue Publishing from PowerBI Desktop

Dear Members,   I has been succesfully publishing a dataset from PowerBI desktop for last 6 months without issues. (replacing dataset daily)   However today, a new error message was thrown up and...

Hi Anonymous,

 

Are you able to upload .pbix file from Power BI service directly? 

 

Please try:

  • Sign Out and Sign In again from PowerBI Desktop and then try to publish
  • Login in Power BI service, lick Get Data box on the lower left hand side and use “Files->Local file” entry to upload your PBIX file to pull/upload your file.

Not OP, but I attempted these steps and still recieved the same error.

 

Publishing from the service 'get data' option creates a duplicate dataset, this is less than ideal, I believe we simply need to update the current data set with new measures etc.
