Issue: Power BI Report Embedded in PowerPoint Goes Blank in Presentation Mode

Hi,

It seems a known issue that has been reported by numerous people out there, I'd like to report again, and hope to have the issue fixed.

We had some Power BI report embedded in PowerPoint, as directed in the documentation:

Add a live Power BI report page to PowerPoint - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

It initially works fine... until we switch PowerPoint to 'presentation mode', when the Power BI report disappears, and there's only a blank page displayed.

Could Microsoft team really work on it and get it fixed? Thanks!

  • Thank you Clara, it seems to be a known issue for quite a long time, and has been reported by many people. It surprises me that it's still not resolved yet! I will open a ticket.

  • BUG report: We have some Power BI report embedded in PowerPoint. When PowerPoint is in 'presentation mode', only a blank page is displayed. This happens when the PC has external monitor(s) connected. It works fine only when no external monitors are used.

    Problem type: Consume and View

    Problem subtype: PowerPoint Integration

Are you able to see the same report in Power BI Portal? : Yes
