Is there api to enable the Workspace "Users can edit data models in PBI Service (preview)" feature?

Can I flip this setting via the api?  Any rumor on when this will GA?  Seems to have been in preview for a long time.

    Hello ddelapasse 

     

    Currently, there is no API available to enable the “Users can edit data models in Power BI Service (preview)” feature. This setting must be manually toggled within the Power BI Service workspace settings.

     

    This feature cannot be enabled or managed through APIs or XMLA endpoints

    Microsoft has not provided specific updates regarding its GA release
