Is there a way to eliminate the open reports in the navigation panel in PBI Services

Is there a way to eliminate the open reports in the navigation panel in PBI Services, you can't open more than 10 and unless you know this, the error message when opening 11th is not clear enough for end users

Hi @BeAStar ,
Yes, in Power BI Service, the navigation panel can get cluttered with open reports, and as you've noticed, there's a limit of 10 open reports or tabs. Unfortunately, there isn't currently a built-in setting to automatically eliminate or close open reports from the navigation panel, but users can manually close the tabs by clicking the 'X' next to each report name in the nav pane.

To improve user experience and avoid confusion, especially since the error when trying to open the 11th report is unclear, it's a good practice to educate users about this limit. Alternatively, consider submitting feedback to Microsoft via the Power BI Ideas portal to request clearer error messaging or a feature to manage open reports more effectively.

Hi @BeAStar

It looks like there isn't a direct way to eliminate open reports in the navigation panel in Power BI Services

Additionally, if you're looking to hide the navigation pane while opening a report, you might be able to turn off the "New Navigation Builder" when creating or updating an app. More details on that can be found Solved: Re: How can we hide the Navigation Pane while open... - Microsoft Fabric Community
