Is there a size limitation on datasets when using live data connection

Is there a max size on datasets when using a live data connection. When using Azure SQL Database or SQL Database as live data connection.

I read some information about a max file size of 250MB but is this also for live connections?

Regards,

The 250MB file size limit is for a hosted Power BI data model (import data to .pbix and upload to Power BI Service). When using either of DirectQuery (relational sources) or Live Explore (SSAS sources), your only limits are based on the resource of the server (SQL Server, Azure SQL, SSAS server, etc) hosting the source data.
