Is the URL changing when changing the Workspace name

We have a workspace with a published app.

Will changing the workspace name have any impact on the workspace URL / Path?

The URL will not change when you change the name of the workspace.  The URL is made up of GUIDs, which do not change.

Hi @joshua1990,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric Forum Community.

Please check the response from @lbendlin @blopez11  as well. Here is the solved thread for your reference:

Solved: Workspace name change - Microsoft Fabric Community
It explains that although the workspace URL remains unchanged, the old name might still show up in certain areas because of caching or metadata.

The URL will not change when you change the name of the workspace.  The URL is made up of GUIDs, which do not change.

Nevertheless changing a workspace name will have unintended consequences.  The original name lives on and will pop up in the most unexpected places.

Do you have an example for one of the unexpected places?

I understand the change will impact dataflows, semantic model etc.

You will stumble over it when doing capacity administration.
