Is it possible to pre-filter Power BI Add-In live data in Power Point using URL Query String?

Hello!

I am trying to create a dozen pre-filtered Power Point slides for different customers using just one Power BI Report through Power BI add-in embed with live data.

The challenge I am facing is that I want to accomplish this without row-level security, just prefiltered data. The result is that each client can go into their Power Point and see the live power bi data for their business, but without using dynamic RLS.

I cannot use Power Automate becuase I need to use a different Power Point design for each customer. So the Power Point will reside on SharePoint, and will be accessed by the customer every month with the Power BI report visual add-in which automatically updates the data.

I tried embedding in Power Point using the URL query string filter, and it did not flter it. The code does work in the web browser, so it's not the code.

Thanks!

@lbendlin is there any way in power automate to export power point slides and insert them into an existing power point file with an existing design?

Thank you.

Not aware of any free options.  Paid options are available, for example Populating PowerPoint presentation using Power Automate — Plumsail Documents Documentation

You can chose to embed with filters.

Warning: Without RLS or other restrictions your customers can choose to change those filters and see each other's data.

@lbendlin exactly what I'm trying to avoid.

Separate Reports is your only option in that case.
