Is it possible to dashbord shared user can refresh the report dataset

Hello,

Please help me on the below requirement.

I have created power bi report which pull the data from one drive excel. We have provided the excel sheet to the user can able to change the value in the excel sheet data.

User can change the data in one drive excel and those changes will be reflect in the power bi reprot.

Problem we are facing is onwer of the reprot publisher can able to refresh the dataset but if we shared the dashbord with user , The user dont have permission to refresh the report dataset.

Please sugggest us any other alterntives we can complete this approach.

Currently, the shared dashboard consumer can't directly refresh the dataset feeding this dashboard. Only dashboard creator can refresh the dataset.

In your scenario, as you're connecting to a file on OneDrive, Power BI automatically checks the file, about every hour, for updates. If you make changes to the workbook (stored in OneDrive or SharePoint Online), those changes are reflected in your dashboard and reports within an hour.
