Is capacity mandatory for Embed for your organization, when moving to production?

Hi All,

When moving to production, I understand buying capacity is mandatory for Embed for your customers (Apps own data). Could you please clarify that buying capacity is mandatory for Embed for your organizations (User own data)?

In my organization, we have 100+ Power BI Pro licensed users and developed an application using Embed for your organizations (User own data). When we are moving to Production, do we need to buy capacity for Embed for your organizations (User own data) or not?

I am not getting the clear picture, when I look into microsoft powerbi documentation.

Please clarify on whether use existing Power BI Pro license or buy capacity (in addition to pro user license).

From this document can see the prerequisites of Embeding for your organizations:

Power BI dependencies

• Your own Azure Active Directory tenant.

• One of the following licenses:

  • Power BI Pro

  • Premium Per User (PPU)

All users with Pro licenses can meet the conditions, buying capacity is not mandatory.
