Invite to Process Applications Inside Organization. What happened to dataflow?

Hello:

I am an outside the organization person helping create reports and dashboards for my client.

I was aware of a couple of ways to work with a clients data remotely. I have created a report with a dataflow for the organization.

1. Receive an email address from the organization and a Power BI Pro license.

2. Getting set up thru AZURE B2B as a guest.

Instead I received an "Invite to Process Applications Inside the Organization" where I sign in with an email like [email protected] and a password which alllows me to access their Power BI Service just fine.

To move my report over to this environment I used Get Data and imported my report. My report and dataset came in fine but I don't see my dataflow. It's also a little difficult working with trying to access my own files on One Drive or other hings due to different credentials.

My question is - am I able to get to my dataflow to edit and change sources?

Any input on this work flow with this particular process is appreciated.

Thank you!

    Hey Whitewater100 ,

did you try to sign out in Power BI Desktop and then sign in again with the custom login:

I know it's a little more tricky, but try to open a incognito window or use another browser where you login everywhere with the customer account, then work will be smooth.

If you need any help please let me know.
If I answered your question I would be happy if you could mark my post as a solution ✔️ and give it a thumbs up 👍

    Hi, Whitewater100

Can you share what method you used to create dataflow and what is your data source?? Guest users are mainly used to share reports to outside users for viewing, rather than creating reports to share with people in the organization.

I’m a little confused about your description. Is this one account? Can you explain more about it?

You can also share your needs completely, and we will help you find a workaround.

    Best Regards

    Hi, Whitewater100  Any updates?

Is your problem been solved? I'm not sure your dataflow is created in which tenant, so it is difficult to reproduce your issue. If you still need help, Can you share more information?

    Best Regards
