We have several reports that are embedded in a React application. The data is coming from SQL Server via a custom API. The API requires credentials, which are saved with each data source. Credentials are Basic, and username and password are provided.
Periodically, the dataset will stop refreshing. On further inspection, we find one or more of the data sources will show an error on refresh, and indicate that the credentials are invalid. When we look at it, the credentials are now showing Anonymous, and no username/password. There doesn't seem to be any consistency as to why or when this occurs, which makes it all the more frustrating.
Any idea as to why this is happening, or -- better yet -- how to prevent it?
TIA
HI @derekgould ,
Often, the credentials resetting is based on a token expiring and/or the password changing. Since you are using a custom API that might have something to do with it too. In looking at other incidents similar to this the answer always seems to be "create a ticket" so if you don't think it is an expiring token, then please create a ticket with Microsoft. AND, please update us here with the result to help us all for next time.
