Integration S3 Purview Data

Hi there,

I am using Power Bi and Purview and have been tasked with loading Purview Metadata from an S3 data source on Purview into Power Bi.

Is there a way to do this ???

I am aware of the Purview Hub in PowerBi, and ideally what I would like to do is to add the S3 metadata into this Hub.

My apologies, if this is not the right forum to post this question.

    Hi Anonymous ,

All sources with available technical metadata in Microsoft Purview include Amazon S3, which supports Classification, Labelling, Policies, and does not support Live view and Data Sharing.

The Multi-Cloud Scanning Connector for Microsoft Purview allows organisational data to be viewed across cloud providers including Amazon Web Services and Azure Storage Services. Running a scan will invoke the process to bring in metadata from registered data sources. Metadata curated at the end of the scanning and curation process includes technical metadata.

You can use Microsoft Purview to scan unstructured data currently stored in Amazon S3 standard storage buckets and discover what types of sensitive information are present in the data. You can also identify the Amazon S3 storage bucket in which the data is currently stored to make information protection and data compliance easy.

More details can be found in the documentation:

If your Current Period does not refer to this, please clarify in a follow-up reply.
