Installing Power BI on-premises gateway

When configuring the new on-premises data gateway name do you use the same name as the server? Does the Power BI desktop program connect to this same name?

@kkuhle I use the same or abbreviated name as the server for easy / quick reference in knowing where my gateways are deployed. There is nothing in the Service that shows a Gateway name to Server Location.

I believe you can call the gateway any name that you want. Once it is online, it will automagically show up in the Service as that name.
