Install app for all users...with audiences?

We're making use of app audiences in apps in some of our workspaces. And I'm wondering, if I select the "Install this app automatically" option when creating/updating my app, will the audience settings remain in play when it comes to viewing the content? E.g., if I already have three audiences, and one audience only has three people in it, after "installing the app automatically," the three people in that one audience will still only have access to the app content in their audience, right?
