Inquiry Regarding On-Premises Gateway Configuration in Power BI Service with Analysis Server

Hi, I've implemented the steps outlined in an article Manage SQL Server Analysis Services data sources for setting up an on-premises gateway and adding the connection in Power BI Service. However, when I share the report, a new gateway appears with "my username (personal mode)", and its status shows as offline. Meanwhile, my original gateway status is online. Any suggestions on resolving this?

Hi @Chelly ,

There are two types of gateways in power bi, personal gateways and standard gateways.

If you have already downloaded the personal version of the gateway before, when creating a configuration gateway connection, it will show that your personal gateway is offline because you have not turned on the personal gateway.

If you want to stop using Personal Gateway, consider uninstalling and reinstalling it to start fresh.
