Input Data Source Credentials from Power BI Service

We understand your concern regarding the entry of data source credentials directly into Power BI Service. Security is a top priority for Microsoft, and we have implemented robust mechanisms to ensure that credentials are handled securely.
As per my understanding, the Power BI Service currently does not support the direct input of pre-encrypted credentials. The encryption process is managed internally by Power BI, requiring users to provide actual credentials (such as a username and password) during the setup. This ensures that the encryption process is securely managed by Power BI.
