Hi,
I've seen other posts with similar subject, but in my case I dont use gateway.
I've two data sources: 1_SharePoint and 2_AzureSQL.
I already looked at the privacy settings, both left in Public
I already did several tests and I can not figure out what is causing the error below:
Power BI Desktop updates seamlessly. but when upgrading to PowerBI Web, gives the above error.
Please, any suggestion??

I even found the solution to my problem.
I discovered that when we set up a particular form of data source privacy on the PowerBI Desktop, when we publish it to the Service, (and there already was that connection) it does not update.
So I just needed to set up data sources again on PowerBI Web.
Muchas gracias me ha servido la solución, volver a cargar las credenciales en la web arregla el error al actualizar

Can you please elaborate on "set up the data source again" a little bit?
I have a Dataset that connects to a DF as its Data Source. The Dataset refreshes just fine in my Desktop client but fails on the service. I did delete the dataset and re-publish it on several occasions but it throws the same error over and over again.
Here is how it is structured:
DB (privacy level organisation) + Azure app insights (privacy level none)

DataFlow (org)
v
Dataset (org)

Hello NirvanaChan,
I mean, go to Settings on Power BI Web (https://app.powerbi.com/groups/ <<your ID >>/settings/datasets)
On Ribbon "Datasets";
Go to "Data Source Credentials" and "Edit Credentials"
Try it and tell us what go on! 🙂
Hey Lucas,
I did try that and sadly, that's not the whole fix but I did manage to get it to work. Here's what I did.
Changed the permission levels of the data sources for the dataset on the Desktop client.
Published it to the service with a different name.
Changed the dataset permission levels of the data sources for the dataset on the service again.
Performed a refresh.
This seems to have fixed my issue. Thanks a lot for your help.
Thank you very much, I was searching this for days
