In our Power BI embedded application are suddenly seeing the UI "jump around vertically" when using the right-click menu within a visual. For example, we offer several Drill Through options, so our end-users will right-click on a line in a table visual to open up the context menu - where PBI shows menu items such "Copy", "Show as a table", "Include", "Exclude", "Drill through ", etc.
Simply the act of right-clicking, depending on where the user does it, can make the cursor move upwards. If I right-click on a line that's near the top of the table visual, this can have a different effect than right-clicking on a line that's towards the bottom of the visual. Clicking on the bottom report row then the menu will show in that row but the cursor will move somewhere else, similarly if we are in bottom of the report and suppose we click the first row of the report then the menu will show there, but the cursor will move upward then the menu. It's all hard to explain - never saw this behavior before.
I haven't yet been able to replicate in powerbi.com. But in the embedded app, I can replicate in either Edge or Chrome, and whether I'm in read-only mode or in edit-mode.
I tried to fix this by cleaning browser cache and checking if any error in console but nothing is working.
If you try the report using the Power BI Embedded playground does it work well?
If it is working well in Power BI and in Power BI Embedded playground it would appear that there is potentially an issue with where you are embedding the application. I would check with the embedded application developer??
Hello
I am having the same issue. I've been using embedded reports for 3 years and not had this issue before. When I right click on a graph, the page scrolls, and then when I go down to e.g. Drill Thru, it then scrolls back.
Also happens when clicking the 3-dots menu on a graph, the page scrolls down. Then you go to the sort by option, and it scrolls again.
I've tried the page in the embed playground, and I get the exact same issue.
This feels like a recent change by MS because it never used to do this. It's as though it's trying to put the right click menu closer to the centre of the page.
Right, if we embed inside power bi playground it's working fine but in case of our embedded application the mouse cursor moving up with the page scroll bar moving.
But I never see this before, and I have embedded the application and dealing with embedded application more than a year, so probably something happened now and it’s started moving the page up and down as per right click in the report.
