Importing data from a database into Power Bi browser

Is there a way to import data from a database onto Power Bi browser version? The only options it gives is to copy/paste data or choose a published data set when I try to create a new report. Thank you!

Hi @cwash203 ,

Yes, it is possible to import data from a database onto Power BI browser version. You can do this by using the "Get Data" feature in Power BI. Here are the steps to follow:

1. Click on the "Get Data" button in the Home tab of the Power BI ribbon.
2. Select the type of data source you want to connect to (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.).
3. Enter the connection details for your database (e.g. server name, database name, username, password, etc.).
4. Select the tables or views you want to import into Power BI.
5. Click on "Load" to import the data into Power BI.

Once you have imported the data, you can create a new report using the imported data.
