Hi,
I am not sure if this is a setting in the admin portal or if something odd is going on but my team noticed yesterday that the option to import a power bi file from one drive/sharepoint is greyed out.
Does anyone know if this is a setting in the admin portal or something else?
thanks!
@BhavinVyas3003 thanks Bhavin, I am an admin but i can't see anything in the portal for switching on integrations (everything was working as of last week, i've not made any changes) Do you know which setting it is? Thanks
same has happened for us since yesterday, tenant settings are enabled but no users can import from OneDrive or SharePoint even Admins
@AndyBurnsNHS it looks like there was a similar issue in 2023, I've tried the two workarounds but didn't change anything for me:
https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Issues/OneDrive-Sharepoint-upload-greyed-out-and-not-worki...
adding the useRootUrlFilePicker=0 option to the url has worked for us
I just tried again, think i had it pasted in the wrong place and it's worked for me as well. I have raised the issue with Microsoft.
You can enable the feature in the Power BI Admin portal. Set new Users can view Power BI items saved in OneDrive and SharePoint (Preview) setting to Enabled. The setting is under Tenant settings > Integration settings.

Hi @Amizy ,
The “Import from OneDrive/SharePoint” option is greyed out because either the Power BI Admin Portal setting for OneDrive and SharePoint integration is disabled or the required preview features in Power BI Desktop are not enabled.
To fix it, your admin must enable integration settings in the tenant portal, and you should enable the related preview features in Power BI Desktop and restart the app.
