Hi guys,
I was wondering if it's possible to import Google Analytics data into Power BI?
We already have a number of web metrics as our KPIs, including number of visitors and bounce rate. Currently we only view these monthly in the KPI report, which is really a static shot so wanted to check if there is any way to import GA4 data into the page on sharepoint ? Ideally in something like Power BI, but I'm happy to get some ideas on it.
Thanks
Hi @Aman-K As a workaround, maybe you can try to test your connection with a 3rd party tool. I've tried windsor.ai, supemetrics and funnel.io. I stayed with windsor because it is much cheaper so just to let you know other options. In case you wonder, to make the connection first search for the GA4 connector in the data sources list:
After that, just grant access to your GA4 account using your credentials, then on preview and destination page you will see a preview of your GA4 fields:
There just select the fields you need. Finally, just select PBI as your data destination and finally just copy and paste the url on PBI --> Get Data --> Web --> Paste the url.
I have now managed to connect Power BI to my google account but I still can't see any data to load
The data is showing in Google Analytics as below. Why it doesn't show up on Power BI? The load button is disabled as above screenshot 😞
Unfortunately, I am unable to connect to Google Analytics. It didn't ask me to select a google account when I clicked on Connect. Please see below:
Thanks @v-yohua-msft @Shivu-2000 , I have tried to extract data from Google Analytics (GA4) but somehow it's not showing any daya to load although it's connected to my Google account.
If I look into my Google account then I can see GA data in that but it's now showing on Power BI. DO I need to use any APIs? I am using GA4 . Thanks
Hi, @Aman-K
You can validate the dataflow to ensure that the dataflow in GA4 is set up correctly. If the dataflow is not configured correctly, no data may be displayed. Also check the date range settings in the GA4 interface. If the date range is set to a period when no data is collected, it may show no data. Try looking at real-time data to see if any data is being collected. You can check the following link:

Hi, @Aman-K
In the Power BI Desktop Get Data window, select Online Services from the categories on the left, then select Google Analytics and click Connect. You'll be prompted to sign in to your Google Analytics account. Enter your credentials and allow Power BI to access your Google Analytics data.
Once connected, you'll see a list of your Google Analytics account, properties, and views. Select the data you want to import. Click Load to import the data into Power BI.
For Google Analytics 4 (GA4), you can use the Google Analytics Data API (V1) to connect and import data. Once you've imported your data into Power BI, you can create dynamic reports and dashboards to visualize your KPIs, such as visitor count and bounce rate, and embed those reports into SharePoint pages for easy access and real-time updates.
