Import Excel data from app.powerbi.com to Power BI desktop?

Hello,

I know there are other ways to import, but specifically is there a way to import Excel data file that is in app.powerbi.com workspace to Power BI Desktop?

It’s not supported now, If you want to use the excel data on Power BI Service, you have to use Power BI desktop to connect to the corresponding Power BI Dataset.

Perhaps you can submit the requirement to ideas and add your comments there to make this feature coming sooner: https://ideas.powerbi.com

As far as I know it is not currently possible to import a Power BI Dataset from app.powerbi.com into Power BI Desktop.
