Implementation of Power BI

Hi all,

 

I would like to implement Power BI for our  environment. Could anyone suggest me how could I start with it? I have done some research and decided to go with Power BI Pro licenses. Please suggest regarding the implementation

    Hi. Great choice! You should understand how Power Bi works first. You'll need to download Power Bi Desktop (it's free) to build and create reports. Then you can publish those reports with the pro account to the company portal (a portal as a service). After that you configure a data gateway that will help you schedule your refreshes in case your data is onpremise (if your data is cloud you may not need it)

      Yes I know the basics and have decided to go with pro account,  Please suggest. I wanted to know whether the reports published via web, who all can see the data. If the Microsoft has access to the data or public?

        Hi Anonymous 

        If you use "publish to web" your data is truly public.  So be careful using this feature.  Instead, either use embedding or share using apps. 

         

        The Guided Learning truly is a great place to start.
