Image and Videos are not loading

We have this power bi report that showed images and videos thorugh their url using third party visuals.
However, it has stopped working all of a sudden and we are unable to figure out the cause for this.
For whatever reason the images and Videos pages only work on my PC.....  with Not Secure

(the url that shows in the Dashboard)

We had a PPU license, which expired last month and are in due process of getting a Fabric and are using trial Fabric for now but the Workspace is in PPU and changing that to fabric trial makes the dashboard turn off entire image/video visual completely.

We were publishing to web and adding this report to a website with SSL certificate. Now we are unsure if the issue was caused by SSL certificate, PPU license that remains to be bought, any other issue that nodbody knows of. And quite honestly this feels way above my scope of knowlegde. Please help

Hi @amilpbi ,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community Forum.

Please try below workarounds.

1. Move your image and video content to a secure HTTPS-supported domain (Azure Blob Storage, SharePoint Online). then browsers and Power BI load media in a secure embedded dashboard.

2. Check the third-party visual that you are using for image/video are certified. If not it won’t work with Fabric Trial. It might be blocked after your PPU license expired. Use "Image Viewer by CloudScope" or "HTML Viewer" (certified versions only) Or use native image controls.

3. Don't Use HTTP URLs in Published Web Reports. If you are embedding report into an HTTPS website, mixed content is blocked by most of the browsers.

4. You mentioned that Workspace was PPU and now you are on Fabric Trial. When switched to trial, visuals disappear. Non-certified visuals are not supported in Fabric Trial. PPU-specific features stop working post-expiry.

Note: Switch to Fabric Pro license and ensure certified visuals are used Or keep using PPU license and host in a PPU-compatible workspace.

I hope this information helps. Please do let us know if you have any further queries.

Regards,

Dinesh

I am simply querying the table, I cannot change the https connection that the table referes as this data comes from govt source
The visuals are certified and PBI loads at a secured embedded Dashboard
Presently the company cannot afford Fabric Pro without sacking me for blowing the budget.
Previously the dashboard loaded without a problem for a year...
