Hi @ Saransekar,
You should fill in the path of the Excel file.
Use OneDrive for work or school links in Power BI Desktop - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
Use the Organization account method for authentication.

@Saransekar @giannisball Power BI Service no longer supports uploading Excel files stored locally. You have to upload them to OneDrive or SharePoint first.
Thanks for the info greg, but when i use my son's school account it is allowing/displaying excel option to import, tried many things and now kind of uninstalled my onedrive 😞 now working on restoring onedrive and then i would like to sync my gmail and "company" email onedrive to sync to try loading the data, wish if there is any youtube tutorial for this. Thanks
@Saransekar Well, all I can say is that not every tenant is one the same version of the Service so perhaps your son's tenant is on an older version. You can confirm this by in your tenant, choose Browse. Change the file type from Custom files to All files. Locate an Excel file and select it. You should receive an error along the lines of "The Power BI Service no longer blah blah blah".
Thanks again Greg, can you suggesst please, i have loaded the data into onedrive and copied the path to power query get data but its throwing error stating the downloaded data is HTML, i have been struggling with this for more than 48 hours and unable to crack the code.
@Saransekar Are you using the Browse OneDrive button to locate the file? Also, you need to Edit credentials as you can't use Anonymous, you need to use OAuth2.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhFJ3JMHTFA When i use Browse it opens my file explorer, from there i go to onedrive folder and i dont see any excel option there, here is how i pasted the url,
