When I use LIVE connection, the report can pull both import data (data up until yesterday) and DirectQuery data (today's data only) from the PowerBI dataset as a data source.
When I switch the report to DirectQuery and add a column, it still shows both Import and Direct data from a PowerBI dataset. But I cannot use the new column as a filter. When I try to use this column as a filter, the report shows only today's data, and past data is excluded even if the data match the filter selection.
