How to tell if data is getting refreshed if it is not being used anywhere in the report?

In my report, I have a data table called 'CustomersThisMonth' that is not being used in any visuals. Since I have set up a scheduled refresh for the report, does the CustomersThisMonth table also get refreshed?

It does, unless you specifically unselect the option "Include In Report Refresh" for the query.

If I understand correctly, the issue is that you want to know whether the data is refreshed. Please try the following methods and check if they can solve your problem:

1.When you set up a scheduled refresh for the report, it ensures that the data in the semantic model is updated.

2.Check the semantic model refresh history in Power BI service to see when the refresh occurred and if there were related errors.

3.Check if any dashboard tiles reflect changes related to the Customers data.

4.If setting up an incremental refresh for the customers table, verify that it is configured correctly to update the data as the requirements.

Hi @MJ16 

Yes it's included in the refresh if it appears in the semantic model. For better performance Unused Tables and Columns should be removed from the semantic models.
