How to take backups for Lakehouse ,warehouse and pipelines in Fabric

Hi all ,
I have 2 questions

Question 1 :

I want to take backups for Lakehouse, warehouse and pipeline within Fabric. Is there any way to take that? I see for warehouse we have option called restore points but that for only drop tables, but i want entire backups. for example, if i delete warehouse/Lakehouse how to restore?

I found some articles in Microsoft fabric but those are
1) restore points in warehouse : Restore in-place of a warehouse from a restore point - Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn
2) disaster recovery : Microsoft Fabric disaster recovery experience specific guidance - Microsoft Fabric | Microsoft Learn

but I need especially backups for warehouse, lakehouse and pipelines .

Question 2

I found one article for backup and restore environments : Back up and restore environments - Power Platform | Microsoft Learn

here it showing in Power Platform admin center, is Power Platform and Fabric admin centers are same or different?

Please anyone help me on this .

Regards ,
Shiva .

Hi @Shiva123

Currently, as far as I'm aware, there is no bult in tool to back up your lake house or the warehous, In terms of the service level agreements Microsoft does guarantee your data will be secure in terms of a disaster. If you're looking to make a copy of your data, you could use the azure blob rest api's to copy data to an azure blob storage location.

Hi,

Thanks for replay. Any answer for question-2?

Thanks ,

Shiva .

Hi @Shiva123 , GilbertQ, thank you for your prompt reply!

There are differences howver they are also partly intertwined, and power bi is partly intertwined.

The Power Platform admin center (https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com) provides a unified portal for administrators to manage environments and settings for Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, and Microsoft Copilot Studio.

Although currently administer Power BI using the Fabric Admin portal (previously known as the Power BI admin portal), you request support for Power BI through Help + support in the Power Platform admin center.

Fabric provides a Data Factory-powered data integration experience, Synapse-powered data engineering, data warehouse, data science, and real-time analytics experiences and business intelligence (BI) with Power BI—all hosted on a lake-centric SaaS solution.
