How to speed up a report when using through direct query with a large data set

My data is a Sales data, My sales team wants to see data everyday.
When they open the service, it is taking a long time and getting errors.
They couldnot open the report in power Bi.
Can someone please help me from this which is on priority

    In addition, for speed up direct query mode datasource, you can consider to install your gateway close to your server or direct install to datasource server to reduce cost of transmit .
