How to setup personal gateway for Office365 excel (OneDrive)
Hi Anonymous
The URL that you displaying, is this coming from how I & the video described how to get it? This is a very important step as it gives you the exact location of the file. But if it works in Desktop, then it should also work in the Service.
Within the Refresh settings of the report, have you edited the credentials also?
Thanks

Hello JoeBarry
Thank you so much for your help to resolve this issue. We tried a lot and finally resolved the issue
It was giving issue because of having ":x:/r/" in the URL.
Faulty URL - https://biib-my.sharepoint.com/:x:/r/personal/Pras_bose_Company_com/Documents/INT/SalesData.xlsx
Working URL - https://biib-my.sharepoint.com/personal/Pras_bose_Company_com/Documents/INT/SalesData.xlsx
Thanks,
PBI V2
Hello, As of my knowledge, I setting up a Personal Gateway for Excel in OneDrive on Office 365:
1. Install the Gateway:
Download the On-Premises Data Gateway from the Power BI service.
Install and run it on your machine.
2. Configuration:
Sign in using your Office 365 credentials.
Set a name and recovery key for the gateway.
3. Link with Power BI:
In Power BI Service, go to Settings > Gateways.
Find your gateway and link the data source (OneDrive in this case) to it.
4. Refresh Dataset:
After setting up the gateway, go to your dataset in Power BI Service.
Use the Refresh Now option.
This should address the refresh issue. Ensure the machine with the gateway stays online for refreshes. If issues persist, double-check data source credentials and paths in Power BI.
I hope this will help you.
