Hi there,
I have a number of API queries used to access telemetry from App Insights. These are currently being used in a PowerBI report. I'm trying to set this report up in the On Premise Gateway, so I'm trying to add the API query as a Web data source for the On Premise Gateway. This isn't working, as it requests an Authentication process and the service account isn't authenticated.
Is there a different way to set up these API queries as data sources?
Thanks,
Chloe
Hi C_Houghton ,
Have you got an api key by registering the rest api? You should provide the API key as either the username or password for basic authentication. If you provide both fields, the API requires that API key be in the username. Please refer to documentation here: https://dev.applicationinsights.io/documentation/Authorization/API-key-and-App-ID

Thanks for your answer. I'll try that out.
I couldn't find this listed in any documentation, so that's a gap it might be useful to fill.
