I have loaded a report to the Power BI online service, created an embed link and embedded it on a website. I have since made a lot of changes in a Power BI desktop file and want to replace the current one on Power BI service with this. I thought this would act like OneDrive where you can replace a file of the same name and the links would stay the same, but this is not the case. So I would like to know, how do I get replace the file without having to create a new embed link? (I have to pay my developers every time I get them to make changes to the website where the report is published).

I have tried this, but it just uploads them as new, with the same names. It doesn't replace anything.
Edit: I worked this out in the end. I can't do this through the web service. I have to go through the desktop app. Only then will it ask me if I want to replace the files.
Once you make the changes to the Power BI report, If you save the PBIX file with the same name (should match the original file name including spaces, caps etc) and publish it to the same workspace, the embedded link will remain the same.
You can verify the link by comparing before and after updating the powerbi reports. It will be the same.
