How to refresh online data in power Bi online?

Hello everyone,

I've seen that Power BI online offers a possibility to schedule the refreshing time weekly and daily, but just 8 times a day. Is there a way to configure and update the data more often? Like in every 10 minutes, for example.

Hi there

When using Power BI Pro you get 8 scheduled refreshes a day.

If you move to Power BI Premium you can schedule 48 refreshes a day or alternatively you could refresh it more often via PowerShell or an API

Thank you for the hints. I've tried to refresh it via API using Microsoft Flow. By first, it worked great, but then I got a message that I exceeded the limit of requests per day (the PBI API limit I guess, because a keep receiving messages in my email, which I set to do pararel to refreshing PBI). Do you know how many requests a I can do per day or do you think a Pro accounnt cloud solve this problem? I'm using a free account.

Hi there

Using Power BI Free or Pro is still limited to 8 refreshes per day.

Oh, I got it. I thought it was a limit only for the Refresh Schedules on PBI service and that via API I could refresh it more often to keep the data in real time. Anyway, thank you for the help.

Happy to help!
