How to manage Historical Data in PowerBI?

Hi,

 

I am using the SQL Server which contains the millions of data. The data could be frequently changing on daily or weekely basis. 

I used the DirectQuery to create or publish the reports in PowerBI. Now, my concern is about  - How to Store or manage the Historical Data/Reports into PowerBI?

    Power BI does not store the historical data/reports. When using Direct Query, as you create or interact with a visualization, Power BI queries the underlying data source, which means you’re always viewing current data.

     

    If you want to save the historical data, you can use the export data function and export report to PowerPoint regularly.

     

    BTW, Power BI is a data analysis tool but not data storage/management tool. To store and manage the historical data, you should consider to use something others like SQL Server.
