How to make bar chart interpolate between two values

I want to have a bar chart animate, and I have got it working using the "Play Axis" visual, which basically increases the Year 1 by 1 and so the bar chart seems like it's animating.

 

The problem is it jumps from year to year, I want each value to increase smoothly.

 

Is this even possible???

    I don’t quite understand that you said it jumps from year to year .What is the result you want ?

    You want each value to increase smoothly , Would it be more appropriate to use monthly or quarterly statistics ?

    If you can provide some data or samples, it will help us deal with the problem better .
