How to hide a report published on a shared dataset?
Hi All,
I have a report i'm working on which is using the dataset from a published report.
The published report is viewable by user in my organisation.
I don't want to allow all users to see the new report i'm working on; only a very select few. However.... if i publish the new report, all users who have access to the original dataset can see the new one. Is there a way i can hide this whole new report, so it's not even visible as a link in the app workspace to other users?
Similar follow-on question, but if i have mulitple reports(and datasets) in a workspace app, is there a way that i can hide reports from users for which they don't have RLS permission on the corresponding datasets? Currently, users are able to view that a report exists, but if they click on it, the visualisations don't work - this is correct as they don't have permission over the data, but i don't want them to even know there is a report there if they don't have permission over the data....

I am not really aware of a way to do that but would be interested if someone has a solution. I would think that you would need your report to be in a separate workspace and then you could share it from there with only the users that you want.

Hi Nickodemus,
I'd like to confirm something detailed information. Did you try to build a report on dataset who shared at app workspace?
If this is a case, this report can only publish to specific workspace.(shared app workspace) All group members can view this report and you can't hide it.
