How to get PowerBI Report Builder to print copies of a letter template for each addressee?

I've been brought onto a team to migrate some old Crystal Reports into PowerBI Report Builder.

The report I'm working on is a single "Test Results" letter, where the only thing that changes each time is the name and address on the top, and the test date in one of the paragraphs. I have a parameter set up to filter to one group of people from my dataset that I want to generate the letters for, but when I run the report, only 1 page generates with a seemingly random record from that group.

I want it to be able to run, accept the group parameter I'm setting for it, and give me a separate page of the report with a letter for each person in the group. Is this something that Report Builder can do?

Have tried making Row Groups for the parameter, but havent been able to figure out how they work.

I'll admit I'm not super familiar with report builder, when i accepted the job i was told it was in PowerBI and thought i'd be working in the main app.

Hi @lenabaneana

Just to clarify what you're looking to do is to create a single page cur. address and name at the top of each page, but it will all be contained within a single PDF.

If so here is a way to do it  reporting services - How to get multiple pages in same report in SSRS - Stack Overflow

Hi Gilbert,

Yes, pretty much. Attaching an example version of one of the letters below here. When i run it currently, I enter my parameter, File Group. There are multiple records per file group, but when i run the report, i get 1 single page back, with just the first record's information.

According to my boss, we want the report to print as many pages as there are records in the file group, each with identical letters, only having the Name/Address/Dear Name fields changing each time.  Is this possible to do, and/or is it possible the way im currently doing it, with primarily text boxes, or do i have to use a tablix of some sort to make it work?

Thanks so much for your reply.Screenshot 2025-01-20 150527.png

Ended up figuring it out today, put all my text boxes into a cell of a List and did the above recommendation. Thanks!
