Hi @yinomata ,

@collinq is correct, even the least privileged role of contributor that allows editing datasets, reports and dashboards also has deletion rights.

Better to have versioning strategies of regular backup of reports to allow future recoverability. 

As suggested, do post this as an idea or vote for one if exists.

HI @yinomata ,

There is no setting for this.  The ability to edit almost always includes delete as well.  If you think this is soemthing that shold be in the tool, please suggest an idea and then post that link here so those that agree will also vote for it.
