How to delete Semantic models?

In Power BI service, deleting a semantic model can be a bit tricky because there isn't a direct option to delete it like other objects such as reports or datasets. However, you can delete a semantic model by following these steps:

1. Navigate to the workspace where the semantic model is located.
2. Go to the "Datasets" tab.
3. Find the dataset associated with the semantic model you want to delete.
4. Click on the ellipsis (...) next to the dataset name.
5. From the dropdown menu, select "Settings".
6. In the dataset settings, scroll down to the "Data source credentials" section.
7. Click on "Edit credentials".
8. In the data source settings, click on "Switch to direct query".
9. Confirm the change to direct query mode.
10. Once the dataset is in direct query mode, it will no longer be associated with the semantic model, and you should be able to delete the semantic model.

Keep in mind that switching to direct query mode may have implications for your reports and queries, so make sure to review and test your reports after making this change.

After you have deleted the semantic model, you can switch the dataset back to import mode if needed by following similar steps and selecting "Switch to import mode" instead of "Switch to direct query".
