How to customize the default list view in workspace

Hi,

I'd like to know if it's possible to customize the default list view in Power BI Service Workspace?

In the current default view, the refresh status is hidden (unless you have an ultra-wide display).

The see the refresh status, we have to (1) make the Name column smaller then (2) make the Refresh column wider. (see image 1).

Only then it is possible to see the status (see image 2).  It's really annoying to have to do it everytime and it caused problems because we miss some failed refresh due to the lack of visual cue.

It would fixe our issue if we could either make the Name column smaller by default or if we could change the default datetime format (it's way to long right now) of the Refresh column.  Or any other creative ideas you might have! 🙂

Image-1: Refresh status is hidden by default. Requiers manipulations to expose it.Image-1: Refresh status is hidden by default. Requiers manipulations to expose it.

Image-2: After resizing the columns, you can see the status but columns sizes revert to default everytime the page is refreshed.Image-2: After resizing the columns, you can see the status but columns sizes revert to default everytime the page is refreshed.

Hi @v-kongfanf-msft ,

That did not work.

But changing Microsoft Egde default diplay language worked.

It's a workaround we can use for now but it's obviously not ideal for our users since it affect the language for everything in Edge. I opened a support call with PBI engineers (#2401300040008357)... but they confirmed it was not possible.

They recommanded to post and "Idea"... for what it's worth, I did it : Ability to customize default list view in Power BI... - Microsoft Fabric Community

Hi @molegris ,

Try switching languages and observe if the formatting changes.

Hi @molegris ,

You can move the width of each column directly by dragging and dropping the mouse to make it show the complete column information, refer to the following screenshot.
At present, it does not support modifying the information of the fields in the columns.

However, Microsoft officially updates the functionality of Power BI Services on a regular basis and if this feature is added in the latest update, I will notify you instantly and you can stay tuned for the same.

Hi @v-kongfanf-msft ,

I see that the date format in your Refreshed column is different than mine.  Do you where Power BI Service gets this format setting from?

Hi @v-kongfanf-msft ,

Thank you for your reply.

Yes, I know about resizing the column; that's what I was illutrating in the image-1 of my original post.

Unfortunatly, you have to redo the resizing everytime the you navigate away then come back to the list; or when you refresh the page.

The main issue for us is that the FAIL icon is not visible by default.  It might look like a minor issue at first but we have missed important data refresh because of that.

I know it's very difficult to predict when a given feature with be added to PowerBI Service, but do you know at least if this is a known issue?  It is logged somewhere?

Thank you
