How to create a Fabric Test in a valid region, different from the tenant's region?

As we can read here https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Service/How-do-I-Enable-Microsoft-Fabric/m-p/3284447 a major reason for issues is the wrong region, because Fabric is not supported in all regions: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fabric/admin/region-availability
But if we just start the test, then the test capacity will be created in the tenant's region.

I can read here https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fabric/get-started/fabric-trial#considerations-and-limitations

> What impact does region have on my Fabric (Preview) trial?

> Not all regions are available for the Fabric (Preview) trial. Start by looking up your home region and then check to see if your region is supported for the Fabric (Preview) trial. If your home region doesn't have Fabric enabled, don't use the Account manager to start a trial. To start a trial in a region that is not your home region, follow the steps in Other ways to start a Fabric (Preview) trial. If you've already started a trial from Account manager, cancel that trial and follow the steps in Other ways to start a Fabric (Preview) trial instead.

OK, I try the other way

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fabric/get-started/fabric-trial#other-ways-to-start-a-microsoft-fa...

But this other way doesn't work:

> When you try to create a Fabric item in a workspace that you own (such as My Workspace) and that workspace doesn't support Fabric items, you're prompted to start a Fabric (Preview) trial. If you agree, your Fabric (Preview) trial starts and your workspace is upgraded to a trial capacity workspace.

But, if the fabric test was not activated, then we can't "try to create a Fabric item", because this is only possible, after the trial was activated.

I don't know if the issue is only related to the documentation. But I really would like to know, how I can start a Fabric trial and select a supported region, when the tenant's region is not yet supported.

A question to Microsoft:

Why it needs to be so complicated?
Why the region is not checked, when the user starts the test by clicking the button, and a message pops up: "Your tenant's region is not yet supported. Do you want to create the test capacity in a different region?"

Hi @germo ,

The region of the tenant can only be selected at the beginning of the creation. At this time, we only offer the tenant migration service to customers with Power BI Premium capacities. We currently don't support tenant migration for Fabric.

If you have any suggestions, you could submit idea in this site Home (microsoft.com), if a idea is high voted there by other customers, it will be promising that Microsoft Product Team will take it into consideration when designing the next version in the future.

OK, then it is just not possible to test Fabric in not supported in tenants in not (yet) supported tenants, which have no "Power BI Premium" capacities booked. This is a clear message. We should wait until our region will be supported.

It would be fine to add this clear message to the documentation. This would save a lot of time for users or tenants, which want to test Fabric but are in the wrong region.
